What is Taurine?
Taurine is the second most abundant amino acid found in muscle. It is a voluminous amino acid found in muscle fibers and can act similarly to creatine in that it helps to expand muscles by helping the muscle hold more water, increasing muscle volume. For a sports person this is significant because expanded muscles can boost hydration resulting in a higher rate of protein and nutrient synthesis. Its like a nice moist sponge always ready to soak up more water. Ever tried to pour water over a dried up sponge... it just rolls off the surface. Keep it moist and it just keeps on soaking it up.
