Pure Maltrin Ideal to assist mass building athletes Food Type Dietary Supplement     CARBO-PLEX is a pure carbohydrate support formula designed specifically for the sports people to aid them in achieving their nutritional and performance goals.     Carbo-Plex is made up of Maltrin® M100, a high quality Maltodextrin made from dent corn and is manufactured by the Grain Processing Corporation USA. Maltodextrins are complex carbohydrates, also known as glucose polymers, derived from corn starch. They are not simple sugars and provide a slow release of energy. They are commonly found in weight gain formulas and meal replacements.     MALTRIN® maltodextrins are mixtures of glucose polymers produced by the controlled depolymerisation of corn starch. They are most often categorized by a dextrose equivalence (DE). DE is a measure of reducing power compared to a dextrose standard of 100. The higher the DE, the greater the extent of starch depolymerisation, resulting in a smaller average polymer size which causes more bloating and is mainly dextrose.     MALTRIN® maltodextrins are defined by the FDA as products having a DE less than 20. Maltrin 100 which Syn-Tec uses in Carbo-Plex has a DE of 10 which is a lot lower and far superior to other Maltodextrin formulas in the market place.     Carbo-Plex should be used to supplement nutritional needs that form part of a physical training or exercise programme. Carbo-Plex is not a sole source of nutrition and should be consumed in conjunction with a nutritious diet and appropriate fluid intake. Carbo-Plex can be added to your protein shakes, sprinkled over food or mixed with juice or water.
